Let the chaos commence...

It's Tuesday 12th September and the chaos has well and truly started!

As the temperatures have started to drop our thoughts have turned to Winter - and as we are without central heating in the bungalow for this year (plans for that to go in next year) we've decided to plough ahead with the installation of a wood burning stove to keep at least one room cosy and warm. Don't get me wrong, we do have heaters, but they are all individually controlled, massively inefficient electric heaters - and so the decision was made to install the log burner.

We went out and spoke to a few local suppliers/installers and on receipt of a quote to install...we came to the conclusion it would be more cost effective to do the labour that we could do ourselves, and so on Sunday the work began...

First came the removal of the furniture, and then chaos ensued....

How to Stay Warm in a Colder House

So yes, harping on about it again....we live in a VERY cold house, and recently it snowed....alot! Part of this renovation project is the installation of a full central heating system. So far we've installed a Biomass boiler, which is heating our water, and in time will heat the whole house with a mix of rads and a retro-fitted wet under floor heating system.
